It’s the end of January, and we had our first blizzard of the\u00a0winter. \u00a0It was a nice one. \u00a0This week, overall was a bit tough because it’s been so cold. \u00a0We have not had a day in the upper 30s in quite a while, so it’s keeping me inside, which I do not like!<\/p>\n

  • Snow!:<\/strong>\u00a0I love snow storms. I’ve gotten to love them more and more as I get older, especially because I get to shovel during and afterwards! \u00a0Yeah, I said it. \u00a0I like to shovel. \u00a0It gives me a sense of creating order out of chaos.<\/li>\n
  • Haters:<\/strong>\u00a0I just got a bit of a haters gonna hate dose this week. \u00a0Negativity really drags me down. \u00a0It’s forcing me to be reflective and to think through my approach. While there’s nothing inherently bad about thinking through, I can’t stop to think of Tennyson’s quote: “It\u2019s better to have tried and failed than to live life wondering what would\u2019ve happened if I had tried”.<\/li>\n
  • Eyes:<\/strong>\u00a0It’s been so dry that my eyes are really bothering me this week. \u00a0Today is especially bad as I feel that I am a bit cross eyed. Need to get some eye drops, and get to the doctor’s.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • 5:<\/strong>\u00a0I made a big mistake this past week. \u00a0I thought I could do more than 5 things a day, and found myself a) struggling to keep up, and b) feeling really down and out about it. \u00a0I need to get back to 5 (it’s the new magic number), and need to prioritize self care (it’s not the first time I remind myself of that).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
