Well yesterday was the inauguration of our new president. I pretty much tuned out because I’ve been busy with other things and frankly disappointed with both sides of the aisle (for different reasons). \u00a0Some new reasons, some not so new reasons. I won’t get into that here as it’s not the point of this blog.<\/p>\n

That being said, we made some good progress on our core priorities for 2017.<\/p>\n

  • Purging:<\/strong>\u00a0I started purging things this week. It was cathartic, and our house already feels lighter. There is still a lot more that needs to be purged. My process is “a little at a time”, which is basically a bucketing technique that allows me to make stepwise progress. Sure, it makes the process longer overall, but with things like purging, it also helps with the emotional attachment.<\/li>\n
  • Leads:<\/strong>\u00a0I continue to work on a number of leads, and move them forward, I need to be more systematic in finding and identifying leads and ultimately converting them as a client.<\/li>\n
  • Paring Down To Produce:<\/strong>\u00a0There is something very nice about paring things down and being able to focus. The last couple of weeks have felt very good from a productivity stand point, because we have a focus on what to do, and it helps concentrate the energy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    Number of the Week:<\/strong><\/em><\/div>\n

    • 6:<\/strong>\u00a0I’ve been using this productivity approach of 6 things a day. Every day I prioritize 6 things to get done, and then I work only on those until I get done. Whatever I don’t complete, I pass on to the next day and prioritize those (so whenever something has a top priority, it never scales down). \u00a0It’s worked well for 2 weeks, and I’ve made quite a bit of progress since I started.
