Rough and tumble. A bit of of rough week, but today we’re headed to the Cape. \u00a0Not rough because of anything bad, more because I can’t get into my running speed, and am feeling pulled in so many directions without the right progress. \u00a0Frankly, I’m also tired of being “away”, and that’s only going to keep happening. It makes it hard to find your cadence.<\/p>\n

  • New Computer:<\/strong>\u00a0I’m excited to have a new computer, but at he same time, it’s taking me a long time to get it set up. It’s frustrating.<\/li>\n
  • Move:<\/strong>\u00a0Our move feels like it’s going to take forever, but also feels like once it starts, it will go very fast. We have a lot of stuff around the house that we need to get rid of. We’re going to be putting some things in storage, which will help, but it also feels like we’re running out of time, even though we don’t have a deadline.<\/li>\n
  • Being Away:<\/strong>\u00a0I’m going to be unpopular with this, but increasingly I hate being away. Not that I want to be a home body, but more that I get tired of the cadence interruption. \u00a0Vacation, to me is the worst culprit. We need vacation because we can’t have balance in our daily lives. If we can have balance in our daily lives then our need for vacation goes down. I don’t advocate not taking time off from time to time, but vacation, let’s admit is a bit of an artificial construct, especially when you think about all the requirements to take vacation (pack, stop mail, deal with traffic or airports, etc…).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
