Tough break this week. My wife didn’t get the job that she’s been “interviewing” for for the past year. What’s worse is that they are giving her only a couple of days to wrap up her contract.e’s was yet another particular tough week. People are trying to take people from my team, which is leading to a lot of chaos.
Words of the week:
- Big Companies: Big companies can be worthless when it comes to doing what’s right by their own people…
- Friends: On Thursday night we went out to see my best friend’s band. We had a nice surprise at the end of the night, when friends that we have not seen in a long while, and who have been going through a difficulty maternity showed up to join us. It ended up being a very late night – something that we had not done in a long while, but it was so fun to get together.
- Uber: Uber came to the rescue. We’ve been using them quite a bit recently, and they’ve been quite outstanding, and at a very reasonable price! Yes, they’ve been in the news for some of their pricing “strategies” (and their CEO in particular has been vocal about it), but we’ve enjoyed the service.
Number of the week:
- 2: as in AM… The time that we got home on Friday morning. 🙂
Next week will be another short week as it’s memorial day week-end.
