Week 33: This was an interesting week. I got to go to FutureM, and listen to some interesting speakers. Specifically Malcolm Gladwell, Guy Kawasaki, and Raja Rajamannar (CMO of MasterCard). Great speakers. The rest of the conference was ok.
Words of the week:
- Entrepreneurs: Malcolm’s talk was intriguing. I really liked how he framed the characteristics of entrepreneurs. He framed it in 3 ways: 1) Disagreableness (i.e. not following for following’s sake), 2) Ability to reframe the problem, and 3) Urgency.
- Grass is Greener: I connected with some old colleagues recently and they’re going through what I went through a few years ago. Looking for meaning in the work. It’s sad but there’s little meaning it seems…
- Moments: Sat on a good presentation about digital moments. It’s really coming down to moments, and creating outstanding experiences in the moment.
Number of the Week:
- 5: Celebrating my 5 year wedding anniversary.
