Week 10: 2014-04-12

First 2-ble digit week! The news is good. I’m now on a number of new efforts and there’s some real interesting upswing potential with them. Some administrative (staff attrition study), some client facing, and some new business development. This is more my type of stuff…

• Politics: The politics continue to be strong. I’m going to have to learn not to get too engaged in certain conversations and just go head to head with facts rather than trade in hear-say.
• Work-Life Balance: This needs to be worked out. I had a very social week this week. This coupled with my projects is going to be quite taxing. I need to find ways to get more cycling and running in the mix.
• Eyesight: Finally had an eye doctor’s appointment. Nothing driving me to it, other than it’s been a while since I had one. All clear except for some potential issue with narrow angle glaucoma :(. I guess noob is a mindset attribute, not a physical attribute.

• 120 minutes: At least the amount of time we’ve wasted talking about how to organize one team, all due to politics.

Next week will prove to be interesting, there’s lots going on, should be a fun few months ahead!
