2014 was a pretty bad year, given all the circumstances. I left a great job at a top consulting firm to join what i thought was going to be a new learning opportunity, only to realize, quite quickly, that I joined a company with a toxic culture and a horrendous middle-management culture. There were no learning opportunities (at least that I cared to learn about). In addition, my wife’s work changed quite a bit, and she closed her massage business.
it’s hard to say that it was purely a bad year, because with these bad experiences, good things came out. I am on my own now and looking to carve my own destiny, I am happier than I have been in a long time, and have more energy. I am discovering new things (meditation, chocolate making, etc…), and look forward to moving forward on the number of projects that I have.
So yeah, 2014 was bad, but I am ending the year on a good note knowing 2015 will be fantastic and that there is so much to do. It’s really been a long while since I’ve had this level of energy… Noob42?
