PWhat a busy week this was. Tons to do and many a meeting. Feeling infused with a lot of energy and drive from everything that’s going on. I’m going to a conference today that could be interesting or too fundamental. At the very least I will make some contacts.
Words of the week:
- “Yes”: Yes as a mindset, not as yes to everything. In a world where I hear that saying “No” is ever more important, I think too many people use that as a poor excuse to shut off conversations. It goes in line with some thoughts I’ve had recently about busy as a bad excuse.
- Focus: I feel like my focus is changing a bit, I’m adding some larger companies in the mix, simply because there may be an opportunity to get those in the mix earlier, and have them move the need forward faster/sooner to get things done on projects. It’s contrary to what I was originally thinking, but inline with impact.
- Grants: I spent the week filling out grant applications, this is a good use of my time, especially if it helps generate some revenue without sacrificing equity.
Number of the Week:
- 3: As De La Soul said… it’s the magic number. It allows to give more options than one or two, but gives a manageable set to work from.
