[Full disclosure: I’m posting this after the fact, as I was up in the mountains on the 31st, with virtually no connection to the internet]

Words of the week:
- Food: We ate so much! I feel like the last few weeks have all been about stuffing ourselves before the long winter. Maybe it’s not just the seasonal winter?
- Complexity: An interesting problem happened this time around. We insisted on going up to my parents’ place in the mountains, and ran into issues with the furnace. The furnace, it seems, shutdowns in the middle of the night (Timing!). It’s a good thing that we don’t have really freezing temperatures. Of course, I tried to help my parents with the furnace, but the UI is so darn complex!
- Fresh Air: No, not the NPR show, but being up in the mountains is so refreshing. It feels like your lungs expand and open, and you’re filled with purging/cleaning air. We’ve been in Boston so much, that we forget the need to get this fresh air. One thing that we’re talking about is making travel more consistent.
Number of the Week:
- 90°C: The “trigger” temperature in my parents’ furnace…
