This was a rather so-so week. Some good conversations, but I am still left feeling like I’m not getting my fair value at work, and need to figure it out further. Either I need to get ok with the value that I’m given, or need to change some things around about myself to make sure that I do get my fair value.
Words of the week:
- Nuance: I’m working with a lot of new vendors on my main client’s side, and I find that some simply lack the nuance necessary to help this client along. It may be that they are so early in their onboarding process, but we shall see…
- Health: I’ve been feeling a bit sick this week, and it’s reminded me how poorly I have been doing with keeping up with my health goals. I’m creating a bit of a mess if I can’t complete my health and financial goals. To add insult to injury, I had a Dr’s apt on Friday to check a bump on my lip. The doctor was nice enough, but at the end his recommendation was that I talked to an oral surgeon. He almost flippantly stated, “It could be anything, a cyst, calcified puss, an in grown hair, a wart, or skin cancer”… Bed manners Doc… but it also put things in perspective for me.
- Interviews: I had a couple of interviews with one company this week. Interesting people, but really don’t know how they’ll be able to tell anything about me based on the interviews they conducted.
Number of the Week:
- 1:1: Not a number, but a ratio. What I spent mailing my family’s gift was about 1:1 to what it cost to buy them… scary…
