A pretty good start of my life in London. I wrapped up my relationship with my major client, mostly because it was not going the right way. It’s clear that one of the partners wanted this outcome, but the other wanted me to continue.
Words of the week:
- Instinct: Call it gut, call it instinct, but when you feel something not working well, it’s worth calling it quits. I’ve done as much as I could to repair the relationship but it was clear that one of the partners was threatened (or at least gave the perception of being threatened).
- London-ing: Well I’m getting the swing of things in this new city. It’s an opportunity to set new patterns and new habits. So that’s great for me to go on the path that I want.
- Opportunities: I’m amazed by the number of opportunities that have landed my way already. They are all very early still, but I already have nearly 10 leads of possible client and work.
Number of the Week:
- 600: As in square feet, the size of our apartment in London. Less than 1/3 of what we had in Boston, but it’s all we need.
